The Yürüt family-run enterprise Vinbodrum began its epic home-made wine journey over 20 years ago, borrowing on the traditions of ancient Hittite cultures, which first harvested grapes in Anatolia for wine production over two millennium ago.
The Vinbodrum family are passionate about their wine, and produce small scale, boutique wines without any automation. They have also enlisted local artists for their custom labels for their wines, which are featured in local restaurants along the peninsula. Their company logo reads ‘‘A winery with an artisanal vision of turning Bodrum grapes into wine.”
Based in the fertile fields just outside of Bodrum, their current distribution includes a 2014 Merlot/Shiraz Rose, and a Cabernet Sauvignon/Shiraz blend. 2015 includes a Chardonnay, and a Chardonnay/Sauvignon Blanc blend. The 2016 harvest includes a Chardonnay and Rose based upon Öküzgözü, as well as a Bornova based Misket.
