Luxury Property Turkey once again has been spotlighted in UK’s Daily Telegraph on 4 November, 2017 in an article by Jane Slade.
Titled ”Pensioners Find a Place in the Sun,” the two-page spread takes an in-depth look at the ever growing trend of soon-to-be pensioners who are actively seeking to enjoy a second home, not just for holiday purposes, but to enjoy life in another country while still young enough to do so.
Sue and Bob Coldray, who already own a holiday home in the Turkish resort of Yalikavak, have just invested in a new, four bedroom villa with pool, several kilometers out of Yalikavak through Darren Edwards, founder and founder of Luxury Property Turkey. “We will probably downsize from our UK home and want to make the move to the villa while we are fit and well.”
While other popular choices for expats include Thailand, Portugual and Dubai, Edwards remarks that Turkey remains the number one choice for upcoming pensioners due to the sheer variety of properties available.
‘Whether it’s an apartment with a sea view, a luxury private villa, a gated community complex with shared pool and garden, Turkey offers vast opportunities across a variety of pricing structures for investors who wish to enjoy the laid back lifestyle and the opportunity to mingle as much or as little with fellow ex-pats as they wish.”
When asked what his favorite up and coming areas along the Turkish Aegean and Mediterranean coastlines were, Edwards replied, ”Definitely the Bodrum peninsula, followed by the Mediterranean resorts of Kas and Kalkan. Currently, buying power is excellent and the return on investment has been excellent in the long run for our clients, who not only retain their initial investment but have the opportunity to thoroughly enjoy their months in the sun.”
